Aimee Asebroek graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine in 2005 where she received her Bachelor's degree in Spanish and her minor in Educational Studies. At Irvine, she was the president and captain of the Women's Club Volleyball Team for three years, and also the President of the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball league for one year.
Aimee's other volleyball experience includes 2 years playing for Club Strictly Volleyball and 3 years playing for North County Volleyball Club as an Outside/Opposite hitter. She also played 3 years on the Varsity team at Vista High School where she received the Coaches Award.
Aimee has coached club volleyball for the past 4 years for SoCal Volleyball Club. She has coached at the 14s, 16s, 17s, and 18's level for girls, and the 14's level for boys. Aimee has helped run or assist the majority of SoCal's camps and clinics, and is the current Director of Administration at the Club. She has also run camps and coached for the City of Vista, Club Strictly Volleyball and North County Volleyball Club.
Aimee's coaching philosophy is closely aligned with that of So Cal Volleyball Club, and has a lot to do with fun. She believes that basic fundamentals are a must but that developing and maintaining teamwork skills and great attitudes are even more crucial. For her, there is an overriding emphasis on enjoying the experience as a whole and creating a lifelong love for the game. Aimee also stresses hard work and respect for one another.
She loves beach volleyball, singing (www.aimeeleigh.com), travelling and her family.
