Scott founded SoCal Athletics, Inc. in 2003 and is currently the Managing Director.  SoCal Athletics, Inc. is the 501(c)3 corporation that owns and operates SoCal Volleyball Club.  Scott's management background has been put to use at SoCal in the start-up phase of the organization, raising capital, hiring the operating staff and opening the SoCal Athletics Center in 2004.

Scott's current role with the club is managing the corporate infrastructure but spends a major portion of his time working with the staff to determine the tools needed to make the student-athlete successful.  Scott is also tasked with the responsibility of working with every high school student-athlete at SoCal in determining their interest in pursuing a college education.

Between 1997 and 2002, Mr. Phillips directed MassHysteria, Inc. to one of the most high-profile iTV and content management technology companies in the United States. During this period, the company was recognized by Deloitte and Touche Fast 50 in Orange County/San Diego and Fast 500 nationally. MassHysteria, Inc. was the combined entity after Mr. Phillips led the acquisition of Echolink Interactive by Sycamore Studios, LLC. in 1999 and successfully raised capital to grow the business. 
 
MassHysteria developed marketing technology, publishing tools, content syndication and market expertise in all facets of online and iTV production. Clients included: America Online, AOLTV, Microsoft UltimateTV, Liberate, Digital Cities, Intel Choiceseat, The Knot, University Netcasting, AOL France, AOL Canada, AOL United Kingdom, Athlete Direct, and the World Wrestling Federation. Mr. Phillips specialized in the development of his client's business by immersing himself in their businesses to understand and help direct their technical needs.

Scott has four amazing daughters, Nicole, Megan, Hannah and Kileigh, who are the pride of his life.
