Currently the coach at Oceanside HS, Kathy and her family are a fixture in North County volleyball. A persistent advocate for volleyball opportunities for youth in the city of Oceanside, Kathy brings that same energy and agenda to SoCal. Kathy played volleyball at UC Riverside under the direction of her volleyball mentor, Sue Gozansky. She went on to partipate in Adult USVBA Nationals.
Kathy has coached all ages and levels of volleyball. She coached a 12 and under team in Hawaii, and assisted with the high school varsity team at Hawaii Baptist Academy. She has been a part of the Oceanside High School volleyball program on the boys and girls side for over 10 years, and has been involved at the Frosh, JV and Varsity levels.
Kathy's high energy sons are the main recipient of her attention. Grant and Garrett, played volleyball in club and high school. Garrett, who also played basketball, currently is a volleyball player at UCLA. Myles, the youngest, is looking for an opportunity to play both volleyball and football in college.
