Tanner comes to SoCal with over 32 years of playing and coaching experience. Hailing from American Samoa, Tanner fell in love with the sport when he was just 10 years old. He went on to play for 4 years on his Varsity High School team and participated in the Mira Costa volleyball program for 2 years. Since then, Tanner has played in countless tournaments around the county.
Tanner coached at El Camino high school, under the direction of head coach Ann Maeva, and has since stayed involved with youth volleyball as he has young children who share his passion for the sport. He is thrilled to take part in the SoCal program this year and is focused on and excited about studying the technical aspects of the game as dictated by technical advisor Mary Jo Peppler.
